Senior Frontend Engineer

Position Overview 

As a Frontend Developer, you will play a key role in designing and building cutting-edge, high-performance web applications for our FinTech products. You will collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to develop sleek and highly functional financial applications. Your primary responsibility will be to create dynamic, responsive, and visually appealing front-end components, ensuring a top-tier user experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Building secure, interactive web applications using Angular or React and Typescript, including components, services, routing, authentication/authorization, and data binding.
  • Utilizing S3 for storing and managing files, including setting up buckets, managing access permissions, and optimizing file uploads and downloads.
  • Using the AWS SDK to interact with S3 and other AWS services from Angular applications.
  • Using AWS congito, in conjunction with internal RBAC to provide secure and compliant ecommerce
  • Contributing to architectural decisions, ensuring that frontend components are scalable, maintainable, and performant.
  • Development of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automating build and deployment processes including github integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to implement new features and enhance the user experience
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in frontend development
     

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a frontend developer, with a strong focus on Angular or React and TypeScript
  • Strong foundation in TypeScript, JavaScript, DOM manipulation, and asynchronous programming.
  • Solid understanding of modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and browser compatibility.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and working with backend services
  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development
  • Experience with Git and version control systems
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid, cross-disciplinary team environment.
  • A keen eye for design and attention to detail

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience in the FinTech sector or working on financial products including BaaS
  • Experience with Postmark, stream, Twilio, Sentry, hotjar/Heap
  • Understanding of security and compliance best practices in financial applications
  • Experience with blue-green deployments and/or A/B testing
  • AWS administration and resource management
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
  • Development infrastructure tool management
  • React Native exposure or experience
  • Use of NLP, ML algorithms, and text classification to generate and parse legal and financial documents
  • Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress)
